The SMC-6600 features a four-track hydraulic traveling system designed to provide stable operation and strong traction during concrete paving. The machine can be used for highway concrete paving, concrete road construction, high-speed railway subgrade projects and agricultural irrigation channel construction. Its paving width ranges from 3500 to 7500 mm, while paving thickness can reach 100–480 mm. With a maximum paving speed of 7.5 m/min, the machine can be configured for different project requirements and paving conditions.

For concrete feeding and vibration, the SMC-6600 uses two hydraulically driven spreading augers with independent control and adjustable rotation speed. The vibration system includes 16 standard vibrator circuits, with an additional 6 circuits available as an option, providing up to 22 circuits in total. The vibrator frequency ranges from 0 to 167 Hz, supporting effective concrete consolidation and helping contractors achieve more consistent paving results.

The electronic control system is another important feature for large road construction projects. The SMC-6600 is equipped with automatic steering and automatic grade control, supported by four grade sensors and two steering sensors. CAN-bus communication enables the sensors and controllers to work together for monitoring and automatic control. Optional equipment such as the Tie Bar Inserter, Oscillating Beam and Super Smoother can further improve the machine's suitability for different concrete pavement construction requirements.

The machine is powered by a Shangchai engine, with a rated power of 177 kW at 2200 rpm. Stage 4 and Stage 3 configurations are available according to the selected engine option. The machine has a 370 L diesel tank and a 470 L hydraulic oil tank. A standard 400 L water tank is provided, while additional 130 L * 4 water tank capacity is available as an option.
