The SMC-5000 Three-Track Slipform Paver is a medium-sized concrete slipform paving machine developed for contractors working on curbs, drainage channels, sidewalks, rural roads and other concrete structures. The machine supports both side-mold and center-mold paving modes, allowing one machine to handle different construction requirements by changing the mold configuration.
With a full hydraulic drive system, three-track walking structure, adjustable mold positioning and hydraulic track offset function, the SMC-5000 provides stable operation and flexible paving performance on different jobsites. Its paving width reaches 0–2500 mm in side-mold mode and 0–3000 mm in center-mold mode, while the maximum paving height is 1100 mm.

Many road and infrastructure contractors still use traditional formwork to construct concrete curbs, drainage channels and other linear structures. Although this method can be applied to different projects, it often requires repeated form installation, concrete pouring, vibration, surface finishing and form removal.
For long-distance road projects, these repeated operations can increase labor requirements and extend the construction cycle. Maintaining consistent dimensions along hundreds or thousands of meters can also become difficult when construction relies heavily on manual work.
African infrastructure projects may involve long rural roads, highways, municipal roads, drainage systems and agricultural infrastructure. Contractors therefore need equipment that can provide continuous concrete forming, flexible mold configuration and stable movement while adapting to different site conditions.
The SMC-5000 was developed to address these requirements. Its three-track structure, hydraulic drive and adjustable mold system provide a mechanized alternative to conventional fixed-form construction.
The SMC-5000 combines concrete feeding, distribution, vibration and slipform shaping into a continuous construction process.
Its most important advantage is the multiple mold configuration. The machine can operate with side molds for curb, gutter and barrier-type structures, while the center-mold configuration can be used for suitable concrete structures such as low-grade rural road surfaces, sidewalks and agricultural irrigation channels.
The hydraulic mold positioning system allows the mold position to be adjusted according to site requirements. The right rear track also has a hydraulic offset function, which helps adjust track spacing and facilitates transportation while increasing the available paving width in center-mold applications.
The feeding system is adjustable. The auger feeding device can change its tilt angle and front/rear position through hydraulic cylinders to adapt to different concrete feeding conditions. The feeding belt is also available as an option.
The machine uses a full hydraulic drive system and hydraulic vibration technology. The standard configuration provides 5 vibrator circuits, while 6- or 8-circuit configurations are available according to project requirements. The vibrator frequency can be adjusted from 0 to 167 Hz.

Step 1 — Concrete Feeding
